Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using BuyersMarket ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and BuyersMarket, operated by Dr. Jody-Ann S. Jones ("we", "us", or "our").

BuyersMarket is a grocery price comparison app for Jamaica that provides:

• Price Comparison: Compare prices across supermarkets
• A-B-C Ratings: Know when prices are at their best
• Shopping Lists: Organize and optimize your shopping
• Price Alerts: Get notified when prices drop
• Store Locator: Find stores near you

Important: Prices shown in the app are contributed by users and may not always be accurate or up-to-date. Always verify prices at the store before purchasing.

Registration

• You must be 13 years or older to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per person

Account Security

• Keep your password confidential
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

By submitting prices, photos, or other content ("Contributions"), you:

Grant Us Rights

• A non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your Contributions
• Permission to display, modify, and distribute the content
• The right to use Contributions to improve the App

Agree That Contributions Must Be

• Accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Your own work or properly licensed
• Not misleading or fraudulent
• Not offensive, illegal, or harmful

Understand That

• We may remove Contributions that violate these Terms
• False price submissions may result in account suspension
• We may verify and moderate Contributions

You may NOT:

Misuse the Service

• Submit false or misleading price information
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate data
• Use the App for commercial scraping
• Interfere with other users' experience

Technical Violations

• Attempt to hack or compromise the App
• Reverse engineer the App's code
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Bypass security measures

Harmful Conduct

• Harass other users
• Post offensive or inappropriate content
• Impersonate others
• Violate any applicable laws

Free Tier

• Basic price comparison
• Limited price alerts
• Shopping list features

Premium Subscription

• Unlimited price alerts
• Advanced price history
• Priority features

Payment Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Auto-renewal unless cancelled
• Refunds per Apple App Store / Google Play policies
• Prices are in Jamaican Dollars (JMD)

Our Property

• The App, design, and features are owned by BuyersMarket
• "BuyersMarket", logos, and branding are our trademarks
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content

Your Property

• You retain ownership of your Contributions
• You grant us a license to use them as described above

Third-Party Content

• Product images and store information may be owned by others
• We respect intellectual property rights

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of prices shown
• Availability of products at stores
• That the App will be error-free
• Continuous, uninterrupted service

Price Information

• Prices are user-contributed and may be outdated
• Always verify prices at the store
• We are not responsible for price discrepancies

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are NOT liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits or savings
• Data loss or corruption
• Actions taken based on price information

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium features in the past 12 months.

Jamaica Law: These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted under Jamaican law.

We may modify these Terms at any time.

Notification

• We will notify you of material changes
• Via email or in-app notification
• At least 30 days before changes take effect

Your Options

• Review changes when notified
• Continue using = acceptance of new Terms
• Delete account if you disagree

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.

Dispute Resolution

• We prefer to resolve issues informally first

• Courts of Jamaica have exclusive jurisdiction
